Homeopathy is based on the core principle that ‘like cures like’ i.e., a substance that can cause complaints if taken in large doses, can be used in minute doses to relieve similar discomfort. For example, the plant Digitalis in high doses may cause arrhythmias, but this drug is used routinely in low doses to relieve this condition conventionally and we also use it homeopathically for the same complaint.
